Climate Nation is a new network focussed on the connections between climate policy, finance, and technical innovation in the Canadian context. Our goal is to facilitate discussion and collaboration that advance solutions toward a green economy and Canada’s contribution toward the global transition to net zero.
Our Mission
Climate Nation is an independent unincorporated non-governmental organisation that works with academic institutions, First Nations organizations, industry, journalists, and other stakeholders. We provide high quality information resources, discussion forums, innovative partnerships, and special events that point to ways to get involved.
Our Values
Our content, resources, news and events, are intended to help develop practical connections between businesses, governments, financial organizations and community groups.
The Climate Nation site showcases effective business and finance actions, technology innovations, policy alternatives, as well as individual stories that, together, contribute to Canada’s transition to a green economy.
The responses required to address climate change are massive and unprecedented (including the Paris Agreement, the alignment to 1.5° degrees and the Sustainable Development Goals). We acknowledge that addressing the climate emergency requires efforts from multiple disciplines, high quality information sources, and accountable leadership.
